Is Bovada Legit?
Bovada is the best-known offshore brand in the US and publishes fast crypto payouts, but it is not one of our ranked picks; the sportsbooks below are.

Getting Paid at Bovada
Bovada publishes up to 24 hours for Bitcoin and about an hour for other coins, allows one crypto withdrawal every 15 minutes, and says crypto payouts carry no fee. Each deposit has to be wagered once before you withdraw.

What We Checked
A US state gaming board issued a cease-and-desist in February 2025 to the company behind the brand, and other states issued their own orders. The licensing body it names could not be confirmed as an existing regulator.

Bovada's License
Bovada declares a license from the Union of the Comoros and from a body it calls the Central Reserve Authority of Western Sahara. Two dispute services concluded this is not a license from a regulated authority, and a US state regulator addressed a 2025 cease-and-desist to a Curaçao company. We could not confirm that the Western Sahara body exists.
Sister Sites
Bovada appears to work alongside Ignition. If you open accounts at more than one, bonus rules may treat you as one customer across them.
What links them: Both brands load the same API host, which appears on none of the other sportsbooks we checked, and both of their domains resolve to a single shared IP address behind the same pair of private nameservers — while the other sportsbooks sit on six different addresses behind ordinary shared CDNs. We checked both of those ourselves and kept the pages. They also ended the same prior license on the same day in 2016.
What we could not rule out: That host could be a third-party platform rented by all of them. Against the grouping: the two brands file under different companies, and their licenses diverge — one holds a license that resolves to a named company in a state register — though that register, checked September 16, 2026, no longer shows it as current — while the other declares a different jurisdiction entirely, with no register we could consult.
